Samsung is expected to release the new Galaxy A8 (2016) soon, considering that it has been benchmarked several times and has now received FCC approval. On this occasion, some of the smartphone’s specs have yet again been revealed.

Samsung's Galaxy A8 (2016) has passed through two benchmarking sites, namely Geekbench and GFXBench. Now that the handset has received FCC approval, it's highly probable that it will debut in the next period of time, according to SamMobile.

Previous rumors regarding the device pointed to the fact that it would come with a 5.7-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It was also suggested that the handset would also have Samsung's Exynos 7420 SoC and provide users with 3GB of RAM. Aside from this, the phone would reportedly have 32GB of internal storage with the option to expand to more using a microSD card.

The new Galaxy A8 could come with a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter

The Galaxy A8 (2016) is said to come with a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP unit on the front. It will also run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and come with multiple connectivity options like Bluetooth, NFC, and 4G LTE. The smartphone will most likely be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat in the future.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A8 last year, and the device came with the same screen size as this year's model, namely a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display. It also had a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, and came in two versions as far as internal memory was concerned, either 16GB or 32GB.

In addition, the phone packed a 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, autofocus, and LED flash. It also came with a 5MP camera on the front and carried a 3,050mAh battery, but ran Android 5.1 Lollipop.

It shouldn't be long now until Samsung releases the Galaxy A8 (2016), so more details should surface soon.
