The smartphone appears in a leaked invitation

We all know that Samsung is likely to launch a couple of new smartphones this month, and the Galaxy A7 (2017) is surely one of them. The South Korean company plans to refresh the Galaxy A series by the end of this year and some of these devices might even go on sale just in time for the holiday shopping season.

The Galaxy A7 (2017) is not the most powerful smartphone in the new lineup, but it's not the less-featured either. The handset was spotted in a few benchmarks in the last couple of weeks, but we did not have any pictures of the phone until today.

In fact, we can see the image of the device on an invitation that leaked before the official announcement. And it's enough to get an idea of what the phone will look like.

As far as the specs go, Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) is expected to sport a large 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. In addition, the phone should be powered by a big 3,600 mAh battery.

If the information is correct, both the display and the battery will be larger than those included in the previous Galaxy A7 (2016) model.

On the inside, Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) is equipped with an octa-core Exynos 7880 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card).

According to previous leaks, the Galaxy A7 (2017) will come with a great camera shooter thanks to a 16-megapixel rear-facing module that should feature f/1.9 aperture.

Moreover, Samsung's upcoming mid-range smartphone will feature a waterproof design (IP68 certification), as well as USB Type-C port and fingerprint scanner positioned under the Home button.

We're expecting at least one other smartphone to go official alongside the Galaxy A7 (2017) this month, but there might be more in the pipeline by the end of the year.
