Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone was announced earlier this month, and pre-orders for the smartphone are already live. The device is set to release later this month, specifically, on August 19. The company has recorded outstanding pre-orders for the handset in multiple countries, especially in Canada and South Korea.

Recent reports have stated that pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 7 have reached double the figures recorded by the Galaxy S7 in South Korea. In addition, the company has announced that it has seen outstanding pre-orders for the Note 7 in Canada as well, especially for the Blue Coral variant.

Information has surfaced over at Soyacincau revealing that Samsung has decided to delay the launch of Galaxy Note 7 in Malaysia due to supply constraints. The phone was supposed to debut in Malaysia on August 19, but it seems that the company has decided to reschedule the official release for September 2016, with the exact date to be announced later on.

Orders placed prior to August 10 in Malaysia will be honored on time

Consumers who check out Samsung’s Malaysia website will see that the smartphone is sold out, and there’s no option for placing an order. The company has informed us that orders placed until today, August 10, will arrive on time. The list of retail partners who are conducting pre-orders includes Celcom, Digi, Maxis, U Mobile, Yes, Courts, and Senheng, but customers who wish to get the smartphone on time should place an order today.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 sports a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It also has USB Type-C port and runs Snapdragon 820 processor or Exynos 8890, depending on the market. The handset also comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Samsung is said to unveil a variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory in China on September 2, with pre-orders to start on August 26.

Considering that the smartphone has made quite the impression on the market, it remains to be seen if the release date will be postponed in other countries as well due to supply issues.
