New update projected to go live on Samsung on March 8

Samsung is currently working on a new Good Lock update that would include not only full support for One UI but also new modules with additional capabilities.

One of the new features coming as part of the Good Lock update is called NotiStar, which includes iPhone-style notifications with several customization options.

While specifics aren’t available right now, a Korean post on Samsung’s members website indicates that this is a feature specifically aimed at users “who prefer the notification method on the iPhone.”

The second new module is called NiceShot and comes down to an enhanced screenshot taker with tagging support.

Both these new features are projected to go live by the end of March and won’t be included in the update that would be rolling out to users later this week.

Limited availability

Needless to say, the other modules in Good Lock would also receive new capabilities as well, including new styles for the multitasking apps menu in the Task Changer.

A Sound Assistant feature will make it possible for users to control individual app volumes, while Lock Star will include new wallpapers alongside old functionalities.

Good Lock is a suite of customizations available for Samsung users in a number of regions, and the chances are that the South Korean company wouldn’t release this pack elsewhere. This is an odd decision that’s obviously frustrating for many users, especially because Good Lock brings so many customization options.

Nevertheless, if Good Lock isn’t available in the Galaxy Store in your region, there’s still an easy way to download the apps on your device using a VPN service. It’s not the most convenient method, and it requires you to turn to VPN every time you have to update the apps, but right now it’s pretty much the only way to get Good Lock on your device all over the world.
