Battery improvements and health feature improvements

In addition to the titanium version of the Galaxy Watch3, Samsung has also announced a new firmware update for this new device, this time with a series of very welcome features.

First and foremost, the new firmware update, which comes as a download that’s less than 55 MB in size, is reportedly available in Vietnam only, but most likely, it should go live in the rest of the world rather sooner than later.

It comes with battery improvements, so theoretically, the Galaxy Watch3 should now last longer per charge, which is without a doubt a welcome improvement.

There are also new refinements for the pre-loaded health features, including for the sleep monitoring and heart rate tracking. Overall, the Galaxy Watch3 should now be more accurate for everything related to health monitoring, something that’s obviously more than good news during these difficult times.

An update that goes live just at the right time

While Samsung has remained tight-lipped on general availability details about the new firmware update for the Galaxy Watch3, this release lands just at the right time, as it provides an improved experience for customers just when Apple takes the wraps off a new-generation Watch.

Samsung Galaxy Watch3 is considered one of the best alternatives to the Apple Watch, and with the Series 6 now live, it’s pretty clear that the competition is getting fiercer in this market. And of course, the new firmware update refining the experience overall is good news for both Samsung and its users.

For the time being, however, we’re still waiting for the update to go live everywhere across the world, as it’s yet to show up on my Galaxy Watch3 for the time being. It remains to be seen how substantial the battery improvement really is after installing this update.
