And of course, the event will just take place online

Samsung has just announced its next Unpacked event, confirming the Galaxy S22 is projected to launch in early February.

The event will take place on February 9, Samsung says, and this proves the most recent leaks related to the launch of the Galaxy S22 lineup were true.

Of course, Samsung hasn’t shared too many specifics about what’ll be seeing at the show, but the company seems to suggest the camera performance will be substantially upgraded with better shots in low light.

“Sometimes the only way forward is to break the rules that hold us back. Break through the night and experience the epic standard at #SamsungUnpacked on February 9, 2022,” Samsung said.

The Galaxy S22 lineup

Just like the current models, the new-generation Galaxy S will come with three different devices, namely the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The star of the show will once again be the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which will also come with support for the S Pen, the accessory which one point made the Note series so unique.

The Galaxy S22 will be offered with either an Exynos chip or the latest Snapdragon processor, and most likely, this approach is expected to generate more criticism aimed at the company unless the performance of the two chips is similar.

The Snapdragon variant will be sold in the United States, while buyers in Europe will be provided with the Exynos sibling.

After the unveiling on February 9, Samsung is expected to begin taking pre-orders for the device a week later. The first units should start shipping to the customers in the largest markets by the end of February, so in approximately one month, we should already know what the all-new Galaxy S22 is all about.
