Developer Mixed Realms confirmed this week that its RPG deckbuilder Gordian Quest finally has a release date. Launched in Early Access back in 2019, the game is now set for release on PC (via Steam) on June 23. For the time being, the game costs $20, but the price will increase to $22 on launch day, so if you’ve been eying the game, you better get it ahead of release if you want to save a few bucks.

It’s also important to mention that the full version of the game will includes four chapters, 10 playable heroes and 3 game modes promising at least 30 hours of playtime per run. Since its Early Access release three years ago, Gordian Quest has been much improved based on the feedback acquired from its passionate community.

Featuring a unique card progression system that blends customization opportunities of action RPGs with strategic deckbuilding, Gordian Quest promises to offer a wide range of build options and hero customizability in the various gameplay modes.

Each of the ten recruitable heroes has their own unique class, skills, and playstyle: Swordhand, Cleric, Ranger, Scoundrel, Spellbinder, Druid, Bard, Warlock, Golemancer, and Monk. To adventure into the fantasy world of Gordian Quest, you’ll need to form a party of three, so it’s up to each player to find the synergies that will ultimately bring them to victory.

According to developers, players can shape the course of their adventure with critical decisions and dice rolls. Also, since all maps and dungeons are procedurally generated, and hero skills are randomized, each playthrough in Gordian Quest will be unique. Apparently, a run will last about half an hour in Realm Mode, and more than 30 hours in the longform modes.

Inspired by old-school classics like Ultima and Dungeons and Dragons, using modern gaming concepts like rogue-lite elements and turn-based strategic combat, Gordian Quest is set to arrive on PC on June 23 with English audio and subtitles available in English, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Korean.
