Last week, Kelly Osbourne was invited on The View as co-host and she got herself into serious trouble in an attempt to criticize Donald Trump for his comments on illegal Mexican immigrants. As she was trying to argue that Latinos are essential to the economy, she said that there would be no one left to clean Trump’s toilets if he had them sent back to their home country, as he planned to do.

Before she could finish her thought, Kelly was interrupted by Rosie Perez, the first-ever Latina to be featured as permanent co-host on the show. Hours later, Kelly apologized on social media, but so did Rosie… to Kelly, saying she was sorry she had been so sensitive about the whole thing.

So what this boiled down to is that Kelly had said something that was racially offensive and the only woman who was more than justified to be upset by it ended up apologizing to the woman who said it. Rosie is so mad about how this played out that she quit the show before her contract was up, the Daily Mail has learned.

Kelly threw a tantrum, Rosie was forced to apologize

Rosie’s contract covered 2 more shows but after what happened on set that day, she decided she no longer wanted to be a part of it.

When producers cut to commercials during the show with Kelly, she started crying and yelling at Rosie for pointing out her faux-pas. She was enraged that everyone would think she was racist and she harbored under the impression that no one would have noticed if Rosie had just kept her mouth shut.

Seeing all the drama, producers cut in and urged Rosie to apologize to Kelly for over-reacting, the minute they went back on the air. She did as she was told, even though she didn’t see how she was the one who had to do it.

The producers didn’t stop here either. After the show, they followed Rosie to her room and told her that she was also expected to apologize to Kelly on social media, because they couldn’t afford to have the show become the topic of another racially-charged debate.

Obviously, Rosie refused to do so at first, the report notes.

“She and the ABC executives had it out,” a spy says for the e-zine. “She was yelling at them at the top of her lungs that their demands were disrespectful. They were telling her that she better do exactly as they said. It was an ugly scene and Rosie was crying uncontrollably and outraged.”

As per the same inside sources, after tweeting her apology, Rosie went to the producers and informed them that she was done. She also told them to kiss her you-know-what and walked out the door, not even wanting to hear about the 2 shows she still had to do, as per stipulations in her contract.
