14 DAY TRIAL // Rockstar has just announced that GTA Online and Red Dead Online had a record-breaking holiday season. The studio revealed that after breaking records for daily, weekly and monthly average players in July and August, GTA Online broke even those records in December following the launch of The Diamond Casino Heist.
Meanwhile, Red Dead Online had a glorious month of December as well thanks to the many updates that added new content. These updates pushed Red Dead Online to a new peak in player numbers in December following the release of the Moonshiners update, topping those numbers again in January.
To celebrate these impressive milestones, Rockstar announced that it will offer massive bonuses in both games. GTA Online will feature bonus cash of up to GTA$2,000,000 in its biggest cash giveaway yet. Starting on January 30, GTA Online players can earn GTA$1,000,000 just by playing before February 5 and will be able to earn another GTA$1,000,000 by playing between February 6 and February 12.
On the other hand, Red Dead Online players will receive a bucketload of goodies, including free access to select roles, special role item giveaways and more. Those who play between January 28 and February 3 will receive the following free items: Schofield Revolver, Varmint Rifle, Devastating Ammo Bundle (100x Split Point Revolver Ammo, 100x High-Velocity Pistol Ammo, 100x Express Repeater Ammo, 100x Slug Shotgun Ammo, and 20x Explosive Rifle Ammo).
Finally, Red Dead Online players who log in between February 4 and February 10 will get a free Bounty Hunter license, 25x Bolas, and 25x Tracking Arrows.
When it comes to future plans for these games, Rockstar confirmed the GTA Online will get an open-wheel racing series featuring all-new vehicle types sometime in 2020. Red Dead Online will continue to be expanded as Rockstar will explore the concept of Frontier Pursuits by adding new roles and new missions throughout the year.
