Rise of the Tomb Raider has pretty much bombed at launch, as an Xbox One exclusive. Now it looks like the PC version of the game might land sooner than expected.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is an excellent game and the fact that it had really poor sales is the fault of the publisher and not of the developers. If anything, Rise of the Tomb Raider is actually better than the previous one, but the publisher was "conned" by Microsoft to release it as a platform exclusive for Xbox One.

To make things worse, Rise of the Tomb Raider released on the same day with Fallout 4. They said ahead of time that they didn't care about Fallout 4 and that they were not competing with it. The problem is that they were competing with it, and it was a race for the money in the gamer's wallet. The PC version might arrive sooner than anticipated

According to a report on pcgamer.com, an Amazon listing showed the launch date for January 29. This is way early for an Xbox One exclusive, but the Amazon listing has changed in the meantime and it now shows March 31.

Maybe unrelated to the sales of Rise of the Tomb Raider, it's also worth pointing out that Darrell Gallagher, one of the execs from Square Enix, who was in charge for the launch of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Just Cause 3, among others.
