Last year, there were some reports indicating that Apple could release a red color variant for iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus. A recent report coming from Japanese blog Macotakara (via 9to5Mac) quotes a source saying that a red iPhone 7 could debut at the end of March, during the iPad event.

Currently, the iPhone 7 is offered in multiple color variants, including Jet Black, Black, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold. It’s worth mentioning that many users have been complaining about the Jet Black color variant, as it seems to scratch easily. Even Apple suggested that customers use cases for such phones.

However, this is not the only smartphone that might make an appearance during the event, as the same report suggests that Apple might announce a new variant of the iPhone SE, one that would boast 128GB of internal storage.

iPhone SE with 128GB could arrive in late March

There haven’t been many rumors regarding the iPhone SE lately. The smartphone has reported high sales in numerous markets, as it offered satisfactory specs and an affordable price, together with powerful performance.

The note mentions that the iPhone SE with 128GB could be launched during the iPad Pro 2 announcement event in late March 2017. Currently, the iPhone SE is offered in two variants, 16GB and 64GB of internal storage.

If the information is true, then Apple might indeed continue offering smaller models in the US, as some of its customers seem to prefer a smaller iPhone rather than a larger one.

The report also indicates that Apple intends to announce the latest iPads in March and make them available for purchase almost immediately after the unveiling. Apple is said to announce a new 10.5-inch flagship iPad Pro which would be made available in May, as well as two iPad Pros with sizes of 12.9 and 10.5 inches. Apple could also take advantage of the event and update its 12-inch MacBook with Retina display.
