Rockstar Games announced Red Dead Redemption 2 will finally make its debut on Valve's store next week. After waiting one year for the game to arrive on PC, gamers were told they will initially be able to purchase it via Rockstar's own launcher or Epic Store.

Thankfully, Rockstar won't wait a year to bring Red Dead Redemption 2 to Steam, like other Epic Store exclusive games have been doing lately. The developer confirmed the game is coming to Steam on December 5, so in less than a week.

Keep in mind that even if buy the game on Steam, you will still have to install the Rockstar Launcher to able to play it. If you already own Grand Theft Auto 5, then you already know that it opens Rockstar's launcher when you try to play the game from the Steam library. Well, the same goes for Red Dead Redemption 2.

Apart from the standard games, two other versions appear listed on Steam, but they don't get different listings. The Red Dead Redemption 2 Special Edition offers exclusive content for Story Mode including a Bank Robbery Mission & Gang Hideout, Dappled Black Thoroughbred, Talisman & Medallion Gameplay Bonuses, Gameplay Boosts, Cash Bonuses & Discounts, and the Nuevo Paraiso Gunslinger Outfit, plus free access to Additional Weapons.

Also, the Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition includes all of the Story Mode content from the Special Edition plus additional content for online including Bonus Outfits for online characters, Rank Bonuses, Black Chestnut Thoroughbred and free access to the Survivor Camp Theme. Plus, you'll get free access to Additional Weapons.
