Rainbow Six Siege is set to arrive in a little over ten days, and the development team at Ubisoft in charge of the title is ready to deliver a new live action trailer for the title, which will also double as a television spot, which benefits from the services of leading man Idris Elba.

The close-to-two-minute-long clip is designed to give potential players a look at the way counter-terrorism works in the shooter, re-enacting a multiplayer match that takes place in a recreation of the House map.

Idris Elba will not appear in Rainbow Six Siege, but in the TV spot he delivers details about the title as he explores the environment with operatives and bullets moving all around him, creating some impressive destruction.

Ubisoft says that it is also using the services of the actor in a series of upcoming clips linked to the title, called The Laws of Siege, which will give more details about some of the core mechanics and will be offered from now until launch on December 1.

Rainbow Six Siege can be played on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

The experience is centered on multiplayer action, allowing players to choose from a variety of operatives, each of them with a unique set of skills on either offensive or defensive and to then plan and work as a team in order to achieve their objectives.

Rainbow Six Siege also gets a five-day beta

On all platforms, gamers will be able to get into the shooter and see some of the core mechanics from November 25 to 29, with the testing open to all those interested.

All gamers who took part in the closed beta will be able to start playing one day earlier, and Ubisoft says that it is interested in testing matchmaking and online infrastructure, which are very important for Rainbow Six Siege in the long run.

Gamers will be able to access 14 characters, with five held in reserve, in the open beta, including all the SWAT members with Fuze only set to re-appear when the full version of the title is out.

Both ranked and unranked Player versus Player modes are included, allowing players to see some of the big changes that the developers have made based on the feedback offered during the closed beta stage.

There are three core maps from Rainbow Six Siege that are included, with versions for both night and day combat included for House, Hereford and Kanal Industrial Harbor.

The developers are not saying whether they plan to use data gathered to create a day-one patch for the title, but feedback is encouraged.

Ubisoft has already laid out extensive post-launch support plans for its tactical shooter, with the Black Ice downloadable content set to be introduced in 2016 and with a Season Pass already offered for the most dedicated of fans.

Rainbow Six Siege will feature microtransactions, but the team has explained that all new content, apart from purely cosmetic items, can be earned through gameplay.
