The announcement that Quantum Break was coming to the PC as well as the Xbox One was one of the biggest announcements of last week and the team working on the game at publisher Microsoft says that it is proud of the fact that it managed to create a solid version of the title that can run on Windows 10 machines.

Aaron Greenberg, the leader of the marketing department in charge of the title, tells the Major Nelson podcast that the developers at Remedy and their partners worked hard to make sure that their title runs well on PCs.

He states, "We weren’t sure how and when we could get the Windows 10 version done. They lined up, a lot of people’s reaction on Twitter was like, I get it, you want to bring this to a lot more gamers to play, but why didn’t you tell us about this before? We didn’t know we could do this before."

Quantum Break is coming to both the PC and the Xbox One because Microsoft is trying to offer its biggest titles on as many platforms as possible.

Greenberg claims that his company is trying to break down walls with its recent announcement and that the end result should be a better overall experience for all its fans.

Some gamers were annoyed by the announcement that Quantum Break was coming to the PC, going so far as to cancel pre-orders and of accusing Microsoft that they used false advertising since the title was first announced.

The video game will be launched on the Windows 10 machines that run DirectX 12 and on the Xbox One on April 5 of this year.

Gamers will get to experience a deep narrative

Quantum Break is focused on the idea of time travel, with a special experiment at a university going wrong as the game starts, giving both the protagonist, Jack Joyce, and the villain, Paul Serene, very different special powers.

As the narrative progresses, players will be able to learn how time breaks down and affects reality and they will also be able to get a look at the way the antagonist can predict the future, in separate TV style mini-episodes.

Quantum Break is played from a third-person perspective and uses action adventure mechanics, asking gamers to move through environments, using their powers over time to solve challenges and to take out enemies while solving a range of puzzles.

Remedy says that it wants to give players as much choice as possible in the levels, with a range of unique abilities that can boost defensive or take the fight to opponents.

At the same time, gamers will have to make choices in Quantum Break as the villain, which will influence the overall state of the world and, probably, the endings.

The title was delayed as Microsoft and Remedy have tried to make sure that it delivers the quality that the community was waiting for and did a good job to showcase the power that the Xbox One packs.
