Two different games that belong to the same simulation genre

Even though previous rumors claimed the PS Plus games for May will be Dark Souls Remastered and Dying Light, Sony had something else in mind. Over the weekend, the Japanese company announced that PS Plus subscribers will be getting Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 19 at the beginning of May.

Many PS Plus subscribers are disappointed by Sony's choices to the point that they even launched a petition aimed at SIE CEO and President Jim Ryan to try and convince the company to change this month's selection of games. At the beginning of the week, the petition was signed by around 17,000 people, a small number in comparison with the total amount of PS Plus subscribers worldwide.

Farming Simulator 19 belongs to one of the most successful franchises in Germany, but the series doesn't seem to be so popular in the rest of the world. As the name suggests, in Farming Simulator 19 players will spend time harvesting crops, raise livestock, tackle forest, and ride their own horses.

Also, the game lets players drive John Deere tractors or one of over 300 authentic farming vehicles. Developed by GIANTS Software, the game is meant to relieve people from the stress of living the city life.

Cities: Skylines is a city builder sim published by Paradox Interactive. It's quite popular on PC, but we don't believe this genre is meant to be played on consoles due to the awkward controls.

Both PS Plus games for May are not available for download until June 1. The previous PS Plus games, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Dirt Rally 2.0 are no longer available for free for subscribers.

Don't forget that Sony offers another two games for free this month: Journey and Nathan Drake Collection, a bundle that contains three great games, but they offer should expire this week so you might want to hurry.
