New games coming to Sony’s premium service on June 7

Since the beginning of the year, all incoming PlayStation Plus monthly games get leaked before being revealed. This month was no exception, so if you’ve read the news, then you’re probably not surprised by the new batch of titles joining PlayStation Plus in June.

Coincidence or not, one of Sony’s iconic first-party franchises, God of War, is being added to PlayStation Plus around the same time the Japanese company is holding a “State of Play” showcase. Although no Sony games will be revealed during the State of Play show scheduled for June 2, 3pm PST, several major titles from third-party partners are expected to be showcased, along with a bunch of PSVR games.

That being said, if you’re just interested in the new lineup of games coming to PlayStation Plus in June, the list is pretty sure, yet quite varied: God of War, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.

Winner of Game of the Year trophy at The Game Awards 2018, God of War is one of the best action-adventure titles PlayStation has given fans in a long time. If you own a PlayStation 4 and haven’t yet played God of War yet, now would be the perfect time to rectify that error.

Even better, if you’re the lucky owner of a PlayStation 5, then make sure to download the Enhanced Performance Experience version of God of War, which is available for free and adds 4K support and 60 fps (frames per second).

Anime fans, those who love Naruto especially, will be thrilled to know that Sony will add Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker to PlayStation Plus this month. Featuring a team-based gameplay with 8 ninjas fighting simultaneously, players must cooperate as a team of four to compete against other teams online.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a fighting game that’s coming to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It includes a slew of heroes from the Nickelodeon universe, including SpongeBob Squarepants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Loud House, Danny Phantom, The Wild Thornberrys, and many more. Each character has a unique move set and attacks inspired by their personalities, as well as an individual style of play.

All three games announced today will be available for download starting June 7 and until July 4. PS Plus members still have time until June 6 to add FIFA 22, Tribes of Midgard, and Curse of the Dead Gods to their game libraries.
