Microsoft started to add Yakuza games to Xbox Game Pass a few years ago, but the first three titles of the series have just joined the premium service. That said, it looks like Sony has decided to follow in Microsoft’s steps and add the entire Yakuza series to PlayStation Plus by the end of the year.

The first game to join PS Plus in August is Yakuza: Like A Dragon, the most recent game in the series. PS Plus Essential, Extra and Premium members can add the game to their library for free starting next month.

Three other Yakuza titles will only be available for free for PS Plus Extra and Premium members in August: Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2. Then, later this year, Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered, Yakuza 5 Remastered, and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will be joining PS Plus Premium and Extra.

However, if you’re just paying for the Essential tier, you will still get two more games in August. Sony has just revealed that in addition to Yakuza: Like A Dragon, PS Plus Essential members will also receive Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Cross-Gen Deluxe Bundle and Little Nightmares for free as part of their subscription benefits.

While Yakuza: Like A Dragon and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Cross-Gen Deluxe Bundle will be available in both PS4 and PS5 version, only the PS4 version of Little Nightmares will be offered for free.

All three games revealed today will be available to download from August 2 to September 6, regardless of what PS Plus you’re paying for. Keep in mind that you still have a few days (until August 1) to add this month’s PS Plus games lineup to your library: Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, Man of Medan, and Arcadeggedon.
