Plex, one of the most popular media organizers for Windows Phone, has just received an important update that addresses lots of the bugs reported by users in the last couple of weeks.

While Plex is available for free on Windows Phone devices, in order to enjoy unlimited use of the free version and unlock its full functionality, users will have to purchase a Plex Pass subscription or a small one-time in-app purchase.

Anyway, the latest update brings a few new features and, as the title says, many bug fixes. First of all, developers added a new Music Mix feature for Plex users. Also, support for multi-disc albums has been improved and HTTP Live Streaming stack has been updated.

As mentioned earlier, lots of bug fixes have been implemented as well. For example, developers confirmed they have fixed initial zoom level to fit screen for photos.

UI optimizations and tweaks have also been added

Furthermore, reverting from semantic zoom should now work in Windows 10. A fix for incorrect skip back interval has been provided as well, along with a fix for an issue with the cancel button that was not working correctly when creating a library.

Users also reported that not all libraries may be shown on the home page, but this update should address this problem. Other bug fixes and improvements included in the update are listed below:

- (Video) Better handle situations where no servers are available to transcode, but are able to remix; - (Music) Display actual artist from Various Artists albums - (Video) Starting movie playback with subtitles set to None results in not correctly changing subtitles later on; - (OnePass) Only prompt for activation once per app run; - (Single Server) Detect and notify if the selected server is unavailable.

Last but not least, some minor UI improvements have been implemented too, but no additional details on any of them have been shared.

You can now download Plex for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
