PlayStation Now, Sony's streaming service for gamers, has just received a massive price cut to make it more appealing to customers. Since its launch back in 2014, the service didn't manage to get a lot of traction, which is why the Japanese company is making changes to its pricing strategy.

Starting today, Sony announced that PlayStation Now will be offered at a much lower price compared to other streaming services on the market. The new prices will be $9.99 monthly ($24.99 quarterly / $59.99 yearly), €9.99 monthly (€24.99 quarterly / €59.99 yearly), and £8.99 monthly (£22.99 quarterly / £49.99 yearly). This is a consistent price cut considering the PlayStation Now subscription would start from $14.99 / €14.99 / £12.99.

But these are not the only changes related to PlayStation Now announced today. Sony really wants you to subscribe to its streaming service as soon as possible and for as long as possible, which is why it has added a handful of blockbusters to the library of PlayStation Now games.

These triple A hits will be available for free months, after which they will be replaced with other major releases: God of War, Grand Theft Auto V, inFAMOUS Second Son, and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

All four games will be available from October 1, 2019, until January 2, 2020. Also, Sony mentioned that each month, PlayStation Now will add a new selection of high-profile games that will be available for a limited time.

Obviously, these blockbusters will be available on top of the already large library of games offered by PlayStation Now, and the evergreen titles that are added to the streaming service regularly.

At the moment, PlayStation Now covers 19 countries and 70% of its PlayStation 4 user base, and offers subscribers the option to download more than 300 PlayStation 4 games on their consoles. Not to mention that some of these games support DLC and other user-purchased add-ons, as well as PS4 Pro enhancements. If you haven't tried PlayStation Now yet, you'll be happy to know that Sony offers seven-day free trials to new customers.
