Don't deny yourself one last trip to the Deadfire

The Forgotten Sanctum is the third and last content DLC the folks at Obsidian have planned for their Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire masterpiece. Just like the other two DLCs, Forgotten Sanctum will send players to a new location where they will have to find allies to help them stop Eothas, the rogue god in his attempt to destroy the world.

If you haven't played the other two DLCs, you can still play Forgotten Sanctum, but your party must met some requirements. First of, you must complete Magran's Teeth to unlock the DLC. Then, your party must be level 18 or higher, but if you've already finished the base game, you shouldn't have any issues there.

If you meet all these requirements, an encounter with a member of the Circle of Archmages should trigger automatically after you roam the Deadfire seas for a bit. You will then be pointed to Black Isles, a new location in the lower right corner of the map.

Your task is to find out what happened with Maura, an Archmage who disappeared in the Hall of the Unseen. The first two PoE II DLCs introduced players to some of the gods in the game's unique pantheon – Rymrgand, the god of entropy and disaster, as well as Galawain – god of the hunt in all its forms.

The Forgotten Sanctum is all about Wael, god of dreams, secrets, mysteries, and revelations. Story-wise, this is the best of all three DLCs launched by Obsidian. Although it's just as short as the other two (2-3 hours), it's very fun and has interesting lore that reveals more information about one of the other gods opposing Eothas.

You also get to loot a few new unique weapons while roaming a new, well-designed dungeon. The new enemies you'll find in Forgotten Sanctum are tough enough to offer some challenge for a end-game party.

If you're a fan of Obsidian's PoE franchise, there's no point in denying yourself a one last trip to the Deadfire. The Forgotten Sanctum is definitely worth getting, but I would recommend getting the Season Pass that contains all three DLCs since you'll save $5.
