Noobz is the Polish studio behind that new physics-based World War II battle game called Total Tank Simulator. The game is now available on PC via Steam for just $18 / €18 / £16.5 (10% discount included).

Before you get your hopes too high, let's clarify that this is an indie game that mixes strategy and tactical gameplay with first-person shooter elements. The visuals are cartoonish, but the battles are made to look epic, just like all the explosions in the game.

Think Totally Accurate Battle Simulator meets Battlefield V and you might have an idea of what this game is all about. Even better, you might want to watch the launch trailer that shows a lot of gameplay.

It's important to add that Total Tank Simulator features both campaign and sandbox modes. In each mode, you will have to strategically place and deploy military forces from a selection of no less than 200 units on one of 50 fully destructible maps. As soon as the deployment phase is over, you can sit back and watch the physics-based simulation playout before you.

However, if you prefer to take the matter in your own hands, you can take control over and switch between individual units on the battlefield in first-person perspective at any time, including tanks, soldiers, planes and much more.

In the campaign mode, you'll be playing as a commander of one of six nations: United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Poland, and the USSR. You will tackle a series of battles on maps across inspired by iconic moments in world history.

The sandbox mode lets players simulate battles on any available map and play as they wish and at their own pace. Last but not least, there's also a shadow mode that challenges players to overcome their previous deployments, with each new win resulting in difficulty as players learn to strategize against themselves.
