14 DAY TRIAL // Remember the Pepsi Phone that leaked for the first time back in October? Well, it looks like it's real and already available for purchase.
As always, there's a catch. The Pepsi Phone has recently been released in China, and there's no word on worldwide availability. For now, it will sell at China Unicom carrier (as P1s), but an unlocked version is available too as Pepsi Phone P1.
On the bright side, the handset can be purchased for just $110 and comes with pretty decent specs, besides the fact that it's a Pepsi-branded device. It can be ordered via a crowdfunding campaign on JD.com.
According to a new report, Pepsi Phone P1 flaunts a more than decent 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features 2.5D curved glass.
Hardware-wise, the smartphone comes equipped with a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor inside, coupled with a Mali 450-MP4 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The Pepsi phone packs 16GB of storage, which should be enough for average users, but the device allows them to expand storage up to 64GB via microSD card slot.
On the back, the handset features a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, while, on the front, there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera. There's also a fingerprint scanner on the back side, positioned right below the main camera.
On the connectivity front, Pepsi Phone P1 offers a wide range of options, including 4G LTE, Hybrid dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS with AGPS support.
Pepsi Phone P1 feature an aluminum unibody design and drains energy from a high-capacity 3,000 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
Speaking of which, the handset is manufactured by Shenzen Scooby Communication Equipment, so Pepsi is just licensing its brand name.
Last but not least, the Pepsi smartphone comes preloaded with a customized version of Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
