Mouse & keyboard, better frame rates and nicer visuals

I've been playing Destiny 2 for PC since the game was released early this week. I thought I would be bored quite fast after having “finished” the PlayStation 4 version. Unsurprisingly, Destiny 2 feels and plays much better on PC than consoles, so if you've holding off on purchasing the game, I would definitely suggest the PC version.

Disclaimer: Activision provided us a Destiny 2 PC downloadable code for the purpose of this article.

It's not just the visuals that look nicer on PC, but you get to play at 60fps, which is almost mandatory for an action shooter game like Destiny 2. It's true that some things like UI and inventory are reminiscent of the console version, but just about anything else is better, nicer, faster.

Destiny 2 is definitely not a single player game, so you'll want to play it with friends. Blizzard's Battlenet app makes it much easier pair up with your friends for a Destiny 2 gameplay session.

You won't need any third-party chat apps to communicate with your fireteam mates since all these tools are included in the Battlenet app. Obviously, you can have all that on PS4 as well, but it's more seamless on the PC.

Also, the mouse and keyboard gives you a level of precision that can't be achieved with a controller. That means that your enemies will fall faster, you'll be able to score headshots more frequently and, overall, enjoy a much smoother combat experience.

PvP is another aspect where you will definitely want to play with mouse and keyboard for a precision boost. The same goes for raids where accurate movement and shooting is critical for downing bosses.

The only downside that I have found is that Destiny veterans most likely have all their friends on PS4 and won't move to PC. However, for someone just joining the franchise, there's no choice but PC, especially if they have a decent rig to run Destiny 2.
