14 DAY TRIAL // A hacker managed to get access to Paris Hilton’s bank accounts and personal information, stealing more than a hundred thousand dollars, as well as her nude photos stored in the cloud.
While this doesn’t seem to be another episode of the famous Fappening scandal, TMZ is reporting that a female hacker called Paytsar Bkhchadzhyan extracted naked pics from Paris’ iCloud account. It’s not known what happened with the stolen content, however.
Websites known for publishing photos leaked as part of the Fappening haven’t posted any Paris Hilton pics lately, though the American celebrity was included in the original hacking scandal in 2014.
Nude photos stored in cloud accounts are typically stolen using phishing scams that trick the owners into handing over their credentials, but it’s not clear if this method was used in this attack.
Sentence expected this week
According to the cited source, the hacker had access to Hilton’s accounts for nearly two years, and not only that she compromised her bank accounts, but also attempted to breach accounts of Paris’ father Rick Hilton and sister Nicky.
Bkhchadzhyan used Paris Hilton’s credit cards and spent thousands of dollars on exquisite things, including a New Year’s Ever party at the Roosevelt Hotel in 2015. More than $40,000 were spent during this one night.
The hacker was arrested last year and pled guilty to bank fraud conspiracy, TMZ adds. A ruling is expected on Monday, and she could receive nearly 5 years in prison.
No specifics on the hacking methods were provided, but Bkhchadzhyan might have to pay more than $300,000 to Paris Hilton and the other victims. It’s not known just yet how much money she stole from Rick Hilton and sister Nicky and if any other data was compromised.
Paris Hilton has remained completely tight-lipped on this investigation and more information could emerge following the Monday sentence.
