If you missed our previous report about the upcoming World War II turn-based strategy game Panzer Corps 2, then you're probably not aware that we're about one month away from its release. Publisher Slitherine and developer Flashback Games announced last month that Panzer Corps 2 will be released on PC via Steam on March 19.

However, if you're a fan of historical strategy games that focus on World War I or II, you can already pre-order Panzer Corps 2. Publisher Slitherine announced fans of the series can pre-order the Field Marshal Edition from Steam for $60 / €50, a 15% discount on the full release-day price of $70 / €59.

Apart from the 15% discount offered by the publisher, those who pre-order Panzer Corps 2 Field Marshal Edition will also receive special bonuses such as the full soundtrack, 4 digital wallpapers, extra scenarios, and camo skins, as well as the first two future DLCs, which will be available later this year after the game releases.

As far as the surprise goes, if you happen to pre-order the game by February 18, you'll be able to download and play Panzer Corps 2 for 48 hours ahead of the wide release.

Panzer Corps 2 offers 61 scenarios in the single-player campaign, almost 1,000 unit types, alternative history scenarios, 4K support, random map generator for Skirmish, both single-player and multiplayer, hundreds of custom camouflages and insignias that can be assigned to any unit, as well as dozens of map skins for different locations, seasons and weather.

In the same piece of news, Slitherine announced the original Panzer Corps game received a special new edition. Starting today, Panzer Corps Gold replaces the old version of the game listed on Steam and bundles together all 17 DLCs that have been published until now.

To make it more attractive to players, Panzer Corps Gold is now available on Steam for just $30 / €25 instead of $80, the amount you would have to pay for the base game and all 17 DLCs bought separately.
