The smartphone will be available globally in December

Chinese company Oppo is back with yet another member of the R7 family. The new smartphone, Oppo R7s has been officially unveiled at GITEX in Dubai and should be available for purchase beginning next week.

However, according to Oppo, the R7s will be launched in November in select Asian countries, while Europeans and customers in the United States will only be able to get if from December.

There's no word on pricing options yet, but considering its specs, the Oppo R7s is likely to be pretty expensive. It's also worth mentioning that the smartphone will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with Color OS 2.1 on top of it.

Design-wise, the R7s slightly resembles Apple's new iPhones, and according to Oppo, it features 2.2mm bezel and magnesium aluminum unibody form factor. That's another reason Oppo has decided to include the R7s in the premium category.

A stylish smartphone with powerful hardware

When it comes to hardware, Oppo R7s comes with a large 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating for extra protection.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a powerful enough 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with no less than 4GB of RAM.

Oppo R7s comes with 32GB of storage inside, but users can further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

The high-end device packs a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with Sony IMX214 sensor, autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera which should capture great selfies.

The phone's high capacity 3,070 mAh battery features VOCC Rapid Charge support, which should charge it up to 90% in just 50 minutes.

Last but not least, the R7s offers hybrid dual-SIM and 4G LTE support, as well Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.
