Sadly, it doesn't seem to come with US LTE bands

Oppo announced the R7 Plus mid-range Android smartphone last month and confirmed that the handset would soon go on sale in Europe and the United States.

Well, it took the Chinese company more than two weeks to make it available in the United States. In fact, customers can now pre-order the R7 Plus from Oppo's online North American store.

Unfortunately, there seem to be a few problems that are likely to reduce its sales in the United States. First of all, the smartphone is priced at $500 outright, which is a bit high for what the smartphone has to offer.

Also, Oppo R7 Plus does not seem to support US LTE bands, which is weird, to say the least. Moreover, while the smartphone is listed on Oppo's online store, it seems to be sold out, so there's no way to pre-order it for the moment.

If you've been waiting for the Oppo R7 Plus to arrive in the United States, then expect it to be once again available for pre-order, but we doubt the Chinese company will lower the price.

It comes with dual-SIM support

Oppo R7 Plus will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box and the company's ColorOS 2.1 UI on top of it.

The smartphone is equipped with a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

The R7 Plus boasts a huge 6-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

There's also a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which boasts Schneinder-Kreuznach optics, laser autofocus, dual-LED flash and 4K video recording, while on the front there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera that should capture impressive selfies.

Oppo R7 Plus comes with fingerprint sensor and a non-removable 4,100mAh battery, which features fast charging technology.
