Chinese company Oppo has silently launched yet another Android smartphone, the Joy 3. The device has been recently listed on the company's official website, but without a price tag attached to it.

Although it's a budget-friendly smartphone, Oppo Joy 3 features metal-like frame around the sides, which gives it a premium look. Obviously, the device is entirely made of plastic, but at least some of this plastic is of high quality.

Under the hood, the Oppo Joy 3 is totally unimpressive, but given the fact that this is a budget-friendly smartphone we kind of expected it.

That being said, here is what you get if you plan on purchasing the Oppo Joy 3 for a price that hasn't been announced yet.

First of all, the Joy 3 will ship with ColorOS 2.0 right out of the box, which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Unfortunately, there's no telling whether or not Oppo will offer a Lollipop upgrade at some point.

The smartphone will be available through Oppo's stores

Anyway, on the inside, Oppo Joy 3 packs a 1.3GHz MediTelk MT6582 processor, which is complemented by a Mali-400MP2 graphics processing unit, 1GB of RAM and only 4GB of internal memory.

That's quite disappointing even though the handset comes with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Furthermore, the Joy 3 sports a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It's also worth mentioning that the handset packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording.

There's also a secondary 2-megapixel camera in the front that can take wide angle selfies, but it can be used for video calls as well.

Last but not least, Oppo Joy 3 offers dual-SIM support, along with other connectivity options, including 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS with AGPS support.

Keep in mind that the Joy 3 is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer for standby and talk time.
