At least two Chinese handset makers will unveil their flagship smartphones at MWC 2016 trade fair later this month. Gionee confirmed it would launch its Elife S8 on February 22 while Xiaomi announced a similar event for the unveiling of the Mi5.

But what about other Chinese OEMs like Oppo and Meizu? Neither announced any MWC 2016 launch event yet, but there's still time for both companies to confirm press event at the trade fair.

One of the most anticipated flagships coming from a Chinese company in Q1 2016 is Oppo's Find 9, which is rumored to be unveiled in the next couple of weeks.

The Find 9 will directly compete with Xiaomi Mi5 and Gionee Elife S8 when all three flagships are released in China.

The latest information about Oppo Find 9 comes from China (via Weibo) and highlights some of the most important features included in the upcoming smartphone.

It looks like Oppo Find 9 will be one of the many flagship smartphones launched this year with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and Adreno 530 graphics processing unit.

Aside from that, the same source claims the Find 9 will pack 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. There's no mention of microSD card slot, but 64GB should be plenty of storage for the average user.

Massive 5.9-inch Quad HD display, powerful 16MP rear camera

Also, Oppo Find 9 is rumored to boast a huge 5.9-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1560 pixels) resolution.

This report contradicts previous rumors that claimed Oppo's flagship will include a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, but the rest of the information remains the same.

Last but not least, Oppo Find 9 should pack a 16-megapixel camera on the back, whereas in the front there should be an 8-megapixel selfie camera. A fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C port will be added too.

Naturally, Oppo's upcoming high-end smartphone will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box.

The Chinese company has yet to confirm when exactly the Find 9 will be officially introduced, but it won't come as a surprise if Oppo decided to reveal its flagship later this month at MWC 2016.
