14 DAY TRIAL // Oppo is expected to introduce two new smartphones next week, the F3 and F3 Plus. Both handsets will be launched in China on March 23 and will probably go on sale a few days later.
Although there's no word on prices yet, judging by the specs leaked recently, these are mid-range smartphones. However, at least one of them, the Oppo F3 Plus, will certainly stand out from other devices in the same price range since it comes with a unique feature.
The F3 Plus will pack a dual-camera setup on the front, not on the back side as traditionally expected. AndroidPure reports the Oppo F3 Plus will be launched alongside its smaller brother, the F3, in about two weeks from now.
Both smartphones will be available in either black or gold colors, but they are unlikely to go on sale outside China anytime soon. We're still waiting for more info on the pricing, though.
Despite the fact that the Oppo F3 Plus is an unusual smartphone, it's not the first to feature dual-camera setup on the front. The Vivo V5 Plus offers the same functionality, but only to customers in China.
The Oppo F3 Plus' dual-lens front-facing camera comprises a 16MP unit and a second 8MP camera. Moreover, the smartphone boasts a no less impressive 16-megapixel camera on the back, which features LED flash and video recording.
Another major selling point of the Oppo F3 Plus could be the huge 6-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating protection.
The leaked document listing the F3 Plus' specs also confirms the smartphone will be equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD card).
Oppo F3 Plus will be powered by a massive 4,000 mAh battery and should run ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
