A day one Xbox Series X title launching in November

The Falconeer is one of the day one Xbox Series X titles coming out later this yet. It's an open-world air combat game that replaces traditional fighter planes with birds. Well, technically, they're called warbirds and they can be upgraded through winning battles, completing quests, discovering secrets, or applying mutagens or chants.

If you love dogfighting games, The Falconeer seems like one of the few titles in the genre worth mentioning this year. If you're not convinced about the game, we're happy to report that publisher Wired Productions and developer Tomas Sala have opened sign-ups for the PC beta process. The beta will be available in October, ahead of the game's release on PC and Xbox in November.

Since The Falconeer is a day one launch title for the Xbox Series X, it doesn't have a release date yet, but we expect the game to be available in the first week of November when Microsoft's next-generation console is likely to hit shelves.

Those interested can join The Falconeer PC beta exclusively via Discord, so make sure to head to the game's channel to apply. It's absolutely free and it takes only a few minutes. Keep in mind that while the game will be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X, the beta will only be launched on PC.

Opposite to what many might think, The Falconeer doesn't have a multiplayer mode, but that shouldn't prevent anyone from having fun exploring the incredible fantasy open-world set not only above the clouds but also amongst the waves and down through the sunken, ocean depths.

Players will be able to choose from multiple Falconeer classes, each with their own individual stats, weapons, and warbirds, which can be upgraded based on how well they performed in fights. The Falconeer can now be wishlisted on Steam, but we strongly recommend those interested to apply for the beta.
