One more company that uses iPhones to tweet

OnePlus becomes the latest big name caught using an iPhone, after the company failed what was supposed to be a great online marketing stunt.

Marques Brownlee, known to the WWW as MKBHD, recently announced the yearly award for the best smartphones launched in 2022.

OnePlus, however, wasn’t one of the companies that impressed with what the OnePlus 10T had to offer, but actually the one that left a lot to be desired. This is precisely why the OnePlus 10T was crowned the “Bust of the Year” by MKBHD.

OnePlus rapidly noticed the opportunity to turn the whole blunder into a great way to improve its image online.

This is why the company tweeted a message to ask MKBHD about the ways it could pick up the award. OnePlus also promised to “prove you wrong in 2023,” something that the YouTuber replied to with “respect.”

Shortly after that, however, both MKBHD and other Internet users noticed something unusual in the tweet posted by OnePlus. While the mobile phone maker wanted to be fair play and accept the not-so-impressive award, the whole thing backfired when it decided to tweet using an iPhone.

The message it posted on the social network owned by Elon Musk was labeled with a “via Twitter for iPhone” message that so many people noticed. Needless to say, it was just a matter of minutes before this great idea turned into an embarrassing decision.

The good thing is that OnePlus didn’t remove its message, so the embarrassing tweet is still there for anyone to see it.

Hopefully, the second part of the message proves accurate, and OnePlus does want to prove everybody wrong in 2023. The mobile world needs OnePlus, and OnePlus needs a smartphone to compete against the leaders currently dominating the market.
