It's expected to use the same Optic AMOLED display

OnePlus fans are probably accustomed to seeing their favorite smartphone company launch one new flagship phone per year. And that's what the Chinese handset maker reiterated over the last couple of months: it will focus on releasing one flagship yearly.

The OnePlus 3 is a solid device, and one of the best when it comes to price. For sure there are few Android smartphones that pack a Snapdragon 820 CPU and 6GB of RAM inside, and sell for just $400 (€400) outright.

However, for some reason, OnePlus is now said to prepare the launch of yet another flagship smartphone, which is likely to replace the OnePlus 3.

Even though the Chinese company has confirmed that the OnePlus 3's production won't be stopped until next year, it did not make any comments regrading the possible launch of another product.

This could mean that OnePlus could continue to sell and produce two high-end smartphones, which might not be as good for business as it sounds. The so-called OnePlus 3T is now rumored to arrive as early as November 14, so sales could begin just in time for the holiday season.

Unlike the OnePlus 3 that packs a Snapdragon 820 processor, the unannounced OnePlus 3T should come with a slightly improved Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 CPU.

Also, the smartphone is expected to feature a better Sony IMX398 sensor inside its camera. This sensor is likely to pack a 16-megapixel module with f/1.7 aperture and the same dual pixel technology included in the Samsung Galaxy S7.

Rumors claim the OnePlus 3T will pack the same amount of memory, which means the powerful processor will be coupled with 6GB of RAM.

Obviously, since it comes with better hardware specs, the OnePlus 3T will be more expensive than the company's current flagship. According to previous rumors, the OnePlus 3T could hit shelves this year for around $480 (€480) outright.

There are no details on the software of the OnePlus 3T, but we doubt the Chinese company has managed to put Android 7.0 Nougat on the device. However, we don't rule out the possibility.
