Ever since OnePlus officially unveiled its flagship killer last month, there have been multiple rumors that the smartphone could come in other colors, aside from Graphite. Renders of a green OnePlus 3 surfaced online, but they were quickly dismissed by company representatives.

Fans got excited when OnePlus briefly posted images of a red OnePlus 3 on its website, but again, company officials declared that such a variant wouldn’t be made available and went on to promote an upcoming Soft Gold model.

Just a few days ago, the company teased the Soft Gold variant after it posted an image with the smartphone on a Chinese website. Recent rumors also stated that the new variant would be released after July 15, and it seems that they were right.

OnePlus 3 Soft Gold Variant will debut tomorrow

OnePlus has just officially announced that the OnePlus 3 Soft Gold variant will be introduced on July 26 in the US, at 12:00 pm US Eastern Time. The handset will make an appearance in Europe on August 1, at 12:0 pm CEST, Hong Kong at 6:00 PM local time, and Canada at 6:00 pm Canada Eastern time on the same day.

The Soft Gold variant will come with all the specs of the original Graphite model, but it will have a more elegant color and feel. The company has also announced that supply for this color variant will be limited, and more information on the exact launch date for India will be provided soon.

The reason the company has specified that supply will be limited could be connected to the fact that OnePlus had some shipment issues when it released the OnePlus 3 in the UK last month.

OnePlus 3 Soft Gold variant will come with Snapdragon 820 coupled with Adreno 530 graphics processing unit, 6GB of RAM, and a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 pixel PenTile AMOLED screen. Rear camera capacity will be 13MP, and it will have a 3,000mAh battery.
