OnePlus 3 was released in mid-June, and it was dubbed the flagship killer because of its powerful specs and affordable price. The smartphone soon became a success that not even OnePlus could anticipate, considering that demand surpassed supply. Now, the company might be working on releasing a new smartphone, the OnePlus 3 mini.

A smartphone believed to be manufactured by OnePlus has been spotted on GFXBench, where all of its specs and components were put to the test. Judging by the specs, the device could be the OnePlus 3 mini, considering that many of its components are similar to those belonging to OnePlus 3, according to Android Headlines.

The benchmark test reveals some specs of the upcoming smartphone. We thus find out that it comes with a 4.6-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and a quad-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 820 SoC while the OnePlus 3 packed a dual-core 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820. The OnePlus 3 mini seems to run Adreno 530 graphics processing unit.

It has 6GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of internal storage. Rear camera capacity reaches 16MP, and there's also an 8MP unit on the front for capturing selfies and performing video calls.

OnePlus 3 mini has roughly the same specs as the OnePlus 3

The rest of the specs seem to match the OnePlus 3, which means that the smartphone features a 3,000mAh battery with Dash Charge and has a fingerprint sensor, together with USB Type-C. The OnePlus 3 also came with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on its 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display.

The smartphone ran Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box while the same OS version is found on the OnePlus 3 mini spotted on GFXBench.

OnePlus hasn't provided any indication that it intends to release a variant of the OnePlus 3 to the market, but this possibility shouldn't be excluded just yet. Considering that the handset has just been spotted at GFXBench, it should arrive at TENAA and the FCC for certification pretty soon.

Meanwhile, OnePlus is rushing to replenish its stock of OnePlus 3 smartphones after the company halted sales in 24 European countries starting August 9 and until September 11.
