SoundCloud has just released an early beta of its official client for Windows 10, as it works on making the service available on devices powered by Microsoft’s latest operating system.

The application is not universal, which means that it only supports PCs and cannot be installed on smartphones running Windows Phone or Windows 10 Mobile.

Despite being in beta right now, the app runs smoothly and everything seemed to work correctly during the time we spent listening to music, though it’s worth mentioning that some bugs could be experienced with certain features.

Full feature package

The app provides the features that you typically get when connecting to SoundCloud on the official website, and you are allowed to log in with your username and password (Google and Facebook accounts are also supported) to manage songs and playlists.

You can also access The Upload, which is a personalized playlist of new music based on your favorites, and the app also has support for Cortana to control SoundCloud with your voice. Additionally, the app offers quick access to SoundCloud Charts, as well as mood-based playlists that can be played for free.

SoundCloud calls for users to install this app, try it out and then send feedback to the company, as it wants to finalize the client, fix bugs, and improve it with suggestions from its users.

Users can download SoundCloud for Windows 10 beta right now from the Store, but keep in mind it’s still in beta and some bugs are possible as you experience all of its features.

There are no specifics as to when the final version it’s supposed to be available or on whether the company has any plans to make this universal and release it for Windows phones as well, but chances are that it’s not given that everyone seems to be giving up on Microsoft’s mobile platform these days.
