14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung is said to be working on multiple upcoming smartphones, including the Z2 phone running on Tizen OS. The smartphone has leaked in multiple images and even official specs were unveiled. Now it seems that official renders have also been revealed.
Official renders of Samsung's Z2 have leaked online, revealing that the smartphone will have a bulky design and come in a gold color variant, according to GalaxyClub. The images confirm that the smartphone will be a low-end one, with a protruding rear camera and a 3.97-inch WVGA display.
It's also expected to come with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5MP rear camera and 4G connectivity, a first for Tizen smartphones. In addition, it will have a VGA front camera, 8GB of internal storage, a 1,500mAh battery and it will run Tizen OS version 2.4.
In India, the smartphone will come with My Money Transfer app and Ultra Data Saving Mode. Samsung's Z2 is said to be announced in Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and South Africa. The smartphone could be announced on August 23, as Samsung has already sent out invites to an event scheduled on that date in India.
Samsung's other Tizen-powered smartphone, the Z9 was spotted on Zauba
This is not the only Tizen-based smartphone that Samsung is currently working on. The company is also developing the Z9 smartphone which was recently spotted on Zauba, India's import export site. The device carries the code number SM-Z930F and was spotted entering India, possibly for testing purposes.
This would also mean that Samsung is close to releasing the smartphone, although an unveiling date has yet to be provided. Zauba listings usually don't provide any details on the smartphone's specs, but we do expect more details to leak out soon.
Considering the price value on shipping documents, Samsunsg Z9 could fall into the category of high-end smartphones, which raises the question whether the South Korean company will release it to Europe and other countries as well.
