Microsoft is expected to launch a new Lumia phone later this month, and while the company has remained tight-lipped on this subject, new information comes via unofficial channels on a regular basis.

This time, well-known leaker Evan Blass has posted an official press photo of the Lumia 650, thus confirming that this model indeed exists and is very likely to see daylight in the coming weeks.

Details are still missing for the time being, but as you can see in this photo, the Lumia 650 shares the traditional Lumia look and will run Windows 10 Mobile, which makes many wonder whether the company plans to release the new device with the “final” version of the operating system or with a “preview” build just like Lumia 950 and 950 XL.

But what’s also very interesting is that Lumia 650 is sometimes referred to as “the last Lumia,” with some reports claiming that this could be the last Lumia device that Microsoft plans to launch, at least this year.

Possible specifications

Since the phone is not yet official, there’s word that the Lumia 650 would launch with a 5-inch display and be powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core processor while also featuring 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage space, together with microSD card support for increased capacity.

The device will also include an 8-megapixel camera, LED flash and video recording, and will be able to easily get you through the day thanks to the 2,000 mAh battery. It’s not yet clear if Microsoft wants to offer microUSB or USB Type-C on the phone, but previous reports pointed to the first (although the second makes a lot more sense).

Since it’ll be a mid-ranger, the Lumia 650 won’t be a very expensive device (but not affordable either), with leaked information in the UK hinting at a possible price of £263 (€345 / $375) outright.
