October Night Games is a digital board game about everything dark that our minds can perceive. From witches, vampires, tenebrous cults and dark magic, to black rituals and even cats and dogs. Developed by Berlin-based studio Octobear Knight Games, the game has just got its reveal trailer before its (possible) October release.

Although the game can be played solo with the other factions controlled by the AI, it's much better to try it out with friends. October Night Games is a digital tabletop game for up to six players. It features procedurally-generated narrative and vintage hand-tinted silent move aesthetics.

According to the developer, the game will be coming to Steam soon, but to help push the game over the finish line, they launched a Kickstarter campaign, so feel free to chip in if you like what you read and see about the game.

Before visiting the Kickstarter page, let's clarify a few important aspects of October Night Games. First off, you can play as cultists of two varieties: either trying to save the world or serve it up to the Great Old Ones.

Players will be able to brew potions, scour the town for infernal ingredients and conduct magic rituals to summon inscrutable entities, all the while keeping suspicious town folks and creeping monsters at bay.

You can be anything you want in the game, from a witch to a mad monk, as well as have your own dark familiar (and perhaps a minion or two). The main goal is to defeat the opposing faction when the Halloween full moon comes in 30 days.

Since October Night Games features procedurally-generated narrative it requires multiple replays to get everything out of it. The combination of characters, familiars, and allegiances is randomly generated with each game, along with the procedurally generated story, so a lot will remain to discover even after one or two playthroughs.
