NVIDIA has released new graphics drivers, which among others, also bring support for the upcoming Windows 10 May 2019 Update.

NVIDIA drivers version 430.39 thus guarantee that once your devices are upgraded to the May 2019 update, everything runs smoothly from a graphics hardware perspective.

And long-time Windows 10 users certainly know how important this is.

While you can read everything about the new drivers here, it’s worth mentioning that NVIDIA rolling out updated software so early also helps ensure a smooth transition to the upcoming Windows 10 version 1903.

Preventing compatibility issues

The rollout of the previous Windows 10 release, known as October 2018 Update and often referred to as version 1809, was impacted by several major issues, including some that were related to drivers.

Intel, for example, shipped faulty drivers that impacted both the graphics and the audio performance after installing Windows 10 October 2018 Update, so by bringing drivers to the market earlier than usual, these companies could help Microsoft and users make sure that everything runs correctly.

Intel has also published new drivers earlier this week, most likely in a similar attempt to pave the way for Windows 10 May 2019 Update.

As for the Windows 10 update itself, the RTM build is currently available for users in the Release Preview ring, so these insiders can install the new drivers and provide valuable feedback that would eventually help determine the cause of potential issues and fix them before the public rollout begins.

Microsoft wants to keep Windows 10 version 1903 in the Release Preview ring for one extra month before giving the go-ahead, and this is because the company must make sure there are no bugs in the update. As a result, expect the public rollout to kick off in approximately 30 days for production devices across the world.
