This is just the first driver in a long list

Nvidia is preparing for a number of important title releases this holiday, and they’ve already released a Game Ready driver for Call of Duty: Black Ops III that launches tomorrow.

Nvidia explained a while back that it plans to release many more Game Ready drivers through the Geforce Experience application. This means that these drivers won’t be made available through their website, only through this app. This way, the owners of Nvidia GPUs will get drivers improved for specific launches.

The month of November is extremely busy and many important games are planned. It’s been a while since we had such a busy season, and Nvidia is really trying to keep up with the pace.

According to what they are saying, once a game goes gold, their engineers go in high gear and they try to squeeze everything from the drivers. This is also the reason why some driver releases only have one line in their changelog, usually for a single game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III gets special driver

Besides Call of Duty: Black Ops III from Activision, Nvidia is also preparing for sleuth of other titles like Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Civilization Online, Fallout 4, Just Cause 3, Monster Hunter Online, Overwatch, RollerCoaster Tycoon World, StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, Star Wars: Battlefront, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and War Thunder. Of course, their support will extend to other titles that are not on this list.

"The holiday gaming feast begins Friday with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops III. This kicks off the November-December gaming deluge. GeForce gamers will be Game Ready with today’s release of our latest Game Ready Driver for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. NVIDIA is taking it a step further and committing to GeForce gamers that we will deliver Game Ready driver support on or before launch day for the top titles this holiday season," reads the Nvidia blog.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III launches on November 6 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The dedicated Nvidia driver is already available for download through GeForce Experience.
