The graphics card maker has found some Wi-Fi issues

Nvidia recently kicked off the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for SHIELD Tablet and many owners have already installed the long-awaited update.

Now the company has announced it has temporarily halted the OTA (over the air) update because many users have reported issues with Wi-Fi connectivity.

According to Nvidia, the update will not be available for download anymore until it manages to replicate and address these potential Wi-Fi issues.

But what about those who already installed Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and are now experiencing Wi-Fi connectivity issues?

Nvidia offers some workarounds that will help them recover their Wi-Fi, but neither is 100% efficient, so you will have to try these solutions and see which one works for you.

Three workarounds are available for those affected by Wi-Fi issues

First of all, you will have to reboot the tablet 2-3 times. If Wi-Fi still doesn't work, then you should power cycle the tablet 3-4 times (not reboot but complete power off). If it's still not working, charge the tablet to 100% and attempt again a couple of times or so.

Another workaround provided by Nvidia implies a factory reset. Before doing that make sure you backup any important files.

Last but not least, some users report their Wi-Fi recovered after leaving their tablet powered off for a few hours. That means that you must leave your tablet powered off for a few hours and then turn it on again.

If none of these workarounds recovers your Wi-Fi, you will have to wait until Nvidia releases a fix for the issue, or take a screenshot of the Advanced Wi-Fi page (head to Settings / Wi-Fi / click on the three dots and select Advanced) and send it directly to Nvidia via email.

Hopefully, Nvidia will be able to squash this annoying bug and resume the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the SHIELD Tablet.
