One of the many Android launchers that fans of the operating system can install on their device is Nokia's Z Launcher. The application is still in beta, which means it usually receives updates with new features and improvements pretty often.

The latest version of Nokia Z Launcher introduces a brand-new experimental feature, which should allow users to find apps on their phones with similar use.

The new feature is called Synonyms, and according to developers, it should show similar installed apps for scribbled searches.

For example, if you decide to search for “music,” and you have multiple music apps (Spotify, Pandora) installed, you will get them in the results on the phone.

Since this is an experimental feature that's just been implemented, users of the beta app should offer their feedback on how Synonyms works in different scenarios.

Lots of fixes are included in the update too

But this is not the only important change included in this update. The official changelog also mentions developers have included Contacts with WhatsApp in scribble results. They can now be launched into the WhatsApp conversation with ease.

Furthermore, lots of performance improvements have been implemented under the hood, along with many bug fixes that should squash most of the issues present in previous versions of the Android launcher.

If you don't have the application yet, you can now download Nokia Z Launcher for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.

Keep in mind that if you're not living in one of the supported regions, Nokia Z Launcher for Android might not appear in Google Play store.

If that's the case, you can try downloading and installing the APK file, or simply wait Nokia to release the final version of the launcher worldwide.
