It could be a downgraded version of the Nokia 6

It's pretty clear that HDM Global plans to unveil a couple of new Android smartphones at Mobile World Congress (MWC), but how many devices will be made official we'll learn in about a month from now.

Nokia 6 seems to be quite popular in China where it sold out in less than a minute during its first flash sale. The more reason for the Finnish company to continue to bring other smartphones like this: cheap and reliable.

Although many fans have complained about the Snapdragon 430 chipset inside the Nokia 6, let's not forget that this is a more than decent mid-range smartphone that costs only $245.

If you can accept that, then you won't be bothered by the fact that the next Nokia-branded smartphone could be a downgraded version of the Nokia 6.

A smartphone that goes by the codename Nokia Heart has been recently spotted at GFXBench, the benchmark database where users often test the performance of their smartphones.

Less amount of RAM and smaller rear camera than the Nokia 6

According to the listing, the so-called Nokia Heart will be powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, coupled with an Adreno 505 graphics processing unit, 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage, possibly expandable via microSD card slot.

Unlike the Nokia 6 that sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display, the Nokia Heart comes with a smaller 5.2-inch HD (720p) display. The rear-facing camera has been downgraded to 13-megapixel lens, as opposed to the 16-megapixel camera of the Nokia 6.

In the front, the Heart should pack an 8-megapixel photo snapper for video calls and selfies. As expected, the phone will run Android 7.0 Nougat operating system right out of the box.

If the Nokia Heart is unveiled next month at MWC (2017), we can safely assume it will be launched worldwide. We still have to clarify how much it will cost and when it will hit the shelves, though.
