14 DAY TRIAL // If you were hoping to get a new Windows 10 19H1 build these days, you better not hold your breath for it, as Microsoft has just confirmed that it hit a major bug in the latest release candidate.
In other words, no, there won’t be a new build released this week, and Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider program, explains that the team would attempt to publish a new version next week.
“We are NOT flighting this week due to an intermittent login issue in our build candidate. We'll try for early next week Thank you and have a great week,” she said in a tweet.
The most recent 19H1 build is 18290 and it was published for insiders on November 28. It brings a plethora of improvements, including Fluent Design refinements in the Start menu, clock synchronization options in Settings, as well as Windows Update notifications in the system tray.
Windows 10 19H1
At this point, Windows 10 19H1 builds are only available for users in the Fast ring, as otherwise, Microsoft is using the Slow and Release Preview rings for testing production builds for Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809).
While the Slow ring should be promoted to 19H1 at some point in the near future, which makes sense given that version 1809 has already launched for devices across the world, there’s no indication as to when this could happen, and it’s probably safe to expect it in early 2019.
Windows 10 19H1 is projected to be finalized in the spring of 2019 as version 1903. This means the RTM build should be ready in March, while the public rollout to production systems should kick off in April, as per Microsoft’s typical release schedule for Windows 10 feature updates.
