No Man's Sky shapes up to be a great game after the lukewarm reception. Developer Hello Games released an important update not long ago, which completely changed the way the game is played. Now the folks at Hello Games are back with Beyond 2 update, which promises to bring even more improvements and content to No Man's Sky.

While the studio is working hard to address some high-priority issues and improve the overall polish and quality of life of the game, update 2.12 was released to all platforms this week. The update contains a very long list of fixes and improvements, too long to add it here, so make sure to check out the full changelog.

Apart from update 2.12, Hello Games announced a community event that will include content available to earn from the Space Anomaly. Each mission completed at the Nexus will contribute to a cross-reality target for all players.

Also, the developer confirmed that universal progress will unlock many exotic items synthesized by Polo's robotic companion, available to purchase with Quicksilver. And to make things even more appealing, this update that adds new content will be available for free for all existing players.

According to Hello Games, the event commences today and has no set deadline for completion, so if you're playing No Man's Sky Beyond, you might want to know that progress can be tracked from the Galactic Atlas website, or from the Quicksilver Robot itself.

As far as the rewards go, once each day, a mission rewarding Quicksilver will become available at the Nexus. These Quicksilver missions can queue up to a maximum stack of 3. Encrypted missions, on the other hand, offer especially interesting and lucrative rewards. These are more mysterious than the missions that reward quicksilver, and their requirements are secret until the moment the mission commences.

Finally, the in-game specialist Poli's robotic companions will not create a set of 5 new customization items, which together form a complete armored suit. Each customization item will become available for synthesis as all Travellers iterations complete missions at the Nexus.
