If you're not a PS Plus subscriber, perhaps the free games that Sony offers this month will convince you to try its subscription service. You have until early December to decide whether or not these two great, yet very different, games – Nioh and Outlast 2 are worth the effort.

Nioh, one of those souls-like games that aren't a Dark Souls ripoffs, and Outlast 2, a psychological horror game with a lot of scary moments, will be available for download for all PS Plus members between November 5 and December 3.

Current PS Plus subscribers should hurry and claim the October's free titles, The Last of Us Remastered and MLB: The Show 19, which will go away on November 4, so there's still time to subscribe right now and get all four games for free.

With Nioh 2 closed beta coming on November 1 and the final release in March 2020, we believe now would be a good time to jump into the series. Combat-wise, Nioh is a faster Dark Souls, but as a genre, it's an action-driven adventure where you must improve your skills, upgrade your weapons and master your powers to be able to beat some of ancient Japan's fiercest demons.

The arsenal of weapons in Nioh is huge and includes almost everything that you would expect from an ancient Japan setting: swords, spears, shuriken, bows, rifles, powerful elemental magic and more.

Outlast 2, the psychological horror developed by Red Barrels puts players in the shoes of a husband who desperately attempts to rescue his kidnapped wife from a deranged cult. You'll have to do your best to avoid the crazed inhabitants of the rundown village of Temple Gate, as you fight to locate your soulmate.

Both games are truly worth a playthrough, especially if you favor one of the two game genres – action-adventure and horror, so don't forget to download them once they become available next week.
