The fine folks at Team Ninja, the studio behind the critically-acclaimed Nioh franchise, have just announced a new update is now available for Nioh 2. The update brings two important pieces of content: photo mode and new missions.

However, Team Ninja has gone beyond the traditional photo mode and is now offering Nioh 2 players an advanced tool with which they can capture and share their favorite moments in-game. The new Photo Mode includes in-depth camera settings like image exposure, gradation, lighting, and ting adjustments, as well as a variety of dramatic filters.

Also, as the title says, no less than nine new missions are now available for free to all Nioh 2 players. You'll find the new content as sub-missions and twilight missions on the game's country maps.

Besides announcing new content for Nioh 2 players, Team Ninja revealed details about its DLC content coming to the game in the next months. So, the first thing worth mentioning is that the game will end up having three sizable DLC chapters, which will be delivered over the next several months.

In case you're wondering, Team Ninja confirmed that there will be new storylines to follow, new yokai to fight, ferocious new bosses, Guardian Spirits, new skills, fresh armor and a new weapon that alters the performance of skills outside of set stances.

But wait, there's more! New difficulty levels and end-game content will be added to allow the campaign to grow longer. The first DLC for Nioh 2 is called “The Tengu's Disciple” and will drop on July 30.

To raise the hype, Team Ninja released new wallpapers inspired by the upcoming DLC, which we've attached in the gallery below. Keep in mind that if you've already bought the season pass, you'll get all three DLC chapters for free.
