The Nintendo Switch is one of the best-selling gaming consoles of all time, so it’s no wonder that the Japanese company is piggybacking on its success. Earlier today, during the Pokemon Presents showcase, The Pokemon Company revealed a brand-new Nintendo Switch Lite system inspired by Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

The new console is called Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga & Palkia Edition and it will hit the shelves on November 5. There’s no mention about pre-orders, but it’s safe to assume the new Switch Lite Dialga & Palkia will be up for pre-purchase in the next few weeks.

The metallic gray console features silver and gold-colored designs on the back spotlighting Dialga & Palkia. Hardcore Nintendo fans will recognize the design inspired by the much older Nintendo DS Lite console that was only released in North America and Japan back in 2006.

Speaking of availability, the Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga & Palkia will be available worldwide, not just in a few markets like the Nintendo DS Lite launched 15 years ago.

Although the new console will not come bundled with Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, it’s important to mention that it will make it to the market two weeks ahead of the games, which are set for release on November 19.

This is the second Pokemon-themed Switch Lite launched by Nintendo in the last couple of years. The Japanese company released a Zacian and Zamazenta Edition alongside Sword and Shield two years ago.

Meanwhile, the previously announced Nintendo Switch OLED is expected to arrive on October 8, so if you haven’t pre-ordered the upcoming console and you’re a big Pokemon fan, the Switch Lite Dialga & Palkia might be more to your liking. You’ll just have to wait a bit longer for Nintendo to kick off pre-orders.
