14 DAY TRIAL // Huawei-made Nexus 6P is a wonderful smartphone aimed at Android fans who would rather take advantage of the raw experience than the fully customized UIs like TouchWiz, HTC Sense or Emotion.
Not that Nexus 6P will not allow for full customization, but it doesn't come with any bloatware or unwanted apps and services, except those made by Google.
Since its release back in September, Nexus 6P has been available in various countries in three colors: Aluminum, Graphite, and Frost.
However, a fourth color was only available in Japan: golden. The golden Nexus 6P was a special edition that Google decided to launch in Japan not long ago.
This special edition packs 64GB of storage, and as mentioned earlier, it's available in golden color. Aside from that, it offers the same specs and features as the other models.
Speaking of which, Google launched three Nexus 6P models based on the amount of storage: 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB.
The good news is the Nexus 6P Special Edition is not exclusive to Japan anymore, as the smartphone will be introduced in India on December 21.
Customers in India will be able to purchase the device exclusively via Flipkart for no less than Rs 43,999 outright, which is about $660 or €610. This means that the Special Edition variant will be Rs 1,000 ($15 / €14) more expensive than the other three colors.
No shipping until December 29
There's a catch, though. If you plan on getting the smartphone as a Christmas gift, then you should keep in mind that Flipkart will not ship the Nexus 6P Special Edition until December 29 at the earliest.
In fact, according to the Indian retailer, December 29 is just a tentative release date, so it might be pushed back at any time without further notice.
Still, since the Special Edition version of Nexus 6P has made it to India, we expect the handset to be introduced in other countries beginning next year.
